Selling your products to Mexico?
Introduction:
- All electrical products exported into Mexico must meet NOM requirements as well as relevant energy efficiency requirements, etc.
- NOM Certification mode M1 (Factory doesn’t have ISO 9001 certificate), NOM Certificates are valid for 1 year, and maybe required to be renewed if Surveillance is carried out.
- NOM Certification mode M2 (Factory has ISO 9001 certificate), NOM Certificates are valid for 3 years and maybe required to be renewed if Surveillance is carried out.
- Mexican energy consumption label is required for 186 categories of electronics and electric appliances listed in September 2011.
- Telecommunication /Wireless equipment are required for COFETEL Type Approval Certification.
- Mexican NOM Standards – not fully based on IEC standards.
- North America power supply, power supply cord set or plug is acceptable.
- AC Power voltage is 127V~, 60 Hz, single phase.
